It’s not often that I look forward to heading to Melbourne to find some better weather, but it is indeed a miserable day here in Brisbane. it’s looking like a warm week down south….
As opposed to a wet one here…
Of course, the journey to Melbourne is not about the weather, but for Amy and Todd’s wedding next Friday. Although there will be the usual servings of family events, we will have some time to do some other things that are hopefully ‘blog-worthy’. We have a relatively friendly 10 AM flight in the morning, arriving at our ‘digs’ for the the week in the funky inner suburb of Fitzroy, which was in fact planned as Melbourne’s first suburb. It is well-known for its cafes and bars, most of which we are intending to frequent. In one last random fact, the television show ‘Offspring’ is largely set in Fitzroy. Anyway … enough trivia for today… I’ve got a bag to pack!
